My Story

 I’m a Social Worker who believes in the value of collaborative, holistic care. While the psychologists on our team do very important work focusing on the inner world and therapeutic process, my role supports the broader systems around a person - looking outward to their family, school, and environment.

Guided by a systemic approach, I consider the many layers that shape a person’s wellbeing - social, emotional, cultural, and practical. I assist with discharge planning, family dynamics, and creating support structures that can hold the emotional work being done in therapy. Advocacy is central to my work - I strive to be a voice for clients and families, helping them navigate complex systems and access the support they deserve.

One quote that reflects my approach is: “If a flower doesn’t bloom, you change the environment, not the flower.” I’m proud to be part of such an incredible multidisciplinary team, helping to shift the environment in ways that support the healing journey clients take alongside their psychologists, fostering sustainable growth.

I work with people from all kinds of backgrounds, always aiming to be respectful and sensitive to their unique situations. 

I also serve as the Teen Coordinator at Optima RustenVrede Hospital, where I keep families in the loop and provide regular feedback and support throughout their teen’s admission journey.
